The Institute for Helping Professionals was born from the awareness that:

IT'S NOT INEVITABLE FOR PROFESSIONALS TO BECOME DISHEARTENED AND BURNOUT
just because so many of them end up feeling this way after years of dedicated service.

WITH THE RIGHT PERSPECTIVE AND SUPPORT, chronic stress can be reversed and prevented
from having adverse effects in the future.

THERE ARE SIMPLE YET EFFECTIVE STRATEGIES for changing ones level of stress in the
workplace. When stress levels are addressed across the board, energy remains high, along with
motivation and inspiration for serving others. This fuel intuition, inspiration and creativity.

PROFESSIONALS ARE MOST SUCCESSFUL when they can sustain their energy, momentum  and
enthusiasm at work. Being able to do so helps them to reconnect with their passion and purpose
     for serving.

THE QUALITY, EFFECTIVENESS AND OUTCOMES OF WORK SOAR when people are motivated
and inspired by the work they do. From this place of deep gratitude, ingenuity and creativity result
naturally and a consistent commitment to outstanding service is the standard.

ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL TOOLS THAT WE HAVE IS OUR ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE
When we, as health care providers can understand and appreciate the psychological experience
of our patients, it changes the way we feel when working with them and allows us to become better
at communicating (both listening and speaking) when they come to us for support.  This in turn has
a profound effect on the quality of care provided and the level of patient satisfaction that results.

OUR INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO:

  • Explore the nature of serving others and the calling to serve
  • Examine what inspires and motivates the helping professional
  • Identify the deeper purpose and meaning for being of service
  • Model and teach effective communication and problem-solving strategies
  • Help professionals to remain effective, empathetic and present everyday
  • Help professionals understand the psychological experience of being a patient
  •   Offer effective strategies for reducing stress and improving ones ability to handle it
  • Discuss the challenging of serving and sustaining ones dedication. Illustrate how those professionals who can remain flexible and and compassionate tend to perform better, find more innovative ways to provide better patient care and feel more satisfied at work
